2. Am I already registered to vote?: Staff in the Registrar’s Office can verify your registration or assist you in registering. Citizens may contact the office via the online contact us form or by calling 757-294-5213 for assistance. Citizens may also check online at https://vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation.

3. Can I vote by absentee ballot?: Citizens may call the Registrar’s Office at 757-294-5213 and staff will mail an application to you to vote by mail; or you may visit our office at 45 School Street in Surry, Virginia, to vote in person. An application for an absentee ballot can also be downloaded directly from the State Board of Elections website.

4. What time do polls open?: The polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

5. Where do I go to vote?: Your polling location and address can be found on your voter card. You can also view the Precincts and Addresses (PDF). If you still are not sure, staff in the Registrar’s Office can provide that information by calling 757-294-5213.
